The Healthy Lifestyles Cooperative (HLC) with its’ mission to stabilize health insurance rates through cooperative purchasing, personal accountability and healthier lifestyles provides a distinct combination of health insurance and an integrated fitness/wellness program with a primary focus on driving down the cost of health insurance. The premise of the HLC's program is that healthier lifestyles, driven by significantly improved fitness levels, are essential to positively impacting both the health insurance rates and the overall quality of life of our members. There are now two options for joining the HLC: Option 1: Health insurance and fitness/wellness incentive program including Option 2: NEW Healthy Lifestyles Fitness program including all of the benefits What we are doing is working. Over the last four years, the premium rates for HLC employers increased an average of less than 8½%, one half the average of employers not in the HLC! At a time when employers are running out of options for managing their health insurance costs, the HLC's integrated fitness/wellness program is a significant upgrade from other options available on the market. The HLC has been managing insurance pools with a fitness/wellness focus for three years. More than 90% of participants have completed health risk assessments. More than 50% have become highly engaged in our fitness incentive program (more than double the national average). All member companies benefit from the HLC's full-time focus on driving health improvement. What are our committed CEO's saying . . .
